API Layer

One API, every device.

The Kolla Systems API layer sits between heterogeneous hardware and the software that consumes it. One schema, versioned and documented, across every supported device.

Pipeline stages
  1. 01

    Ingest

Adapters speak the device's native protocol. No middleware on the customer side.

  2. 02

    Decode

Stateful parsers translate raw payloads into typed events with provenance.

  3. 03

    Normalize

Events conform to the Kolla Systems schema — versioned, documented, contract-tested.

  4. 04

    Deliver

Streams, REST, warehouses or direct system integration. Pick the surface.

  5. 05

    Observe

Every feed monitored end-to-end. Drift, gaps and failures surface before customers do.

Schema philosophy

The schema is the product. Small enough to fit in a head, versioned with explicit migrations, treated as a contract — not an implementation detail.

New suppliers and firmware land behind the contract. Customers consume the same shape on day one and day one thousand.
